Laura is a graduate of Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM, where she earned her Master’s of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and is a certified diplomat of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is licensed by the state of Pennsylvania to practice Oriental Medicine, which includes acupuncture and all of its adjunct therapies and the prescription of Chinese herbal medicines.
She earned her B.A. with honors and Phi Beta Kappa recognition at Earlham College in Richmond, IN.
Laura earned her Reiki Master/Teacher certification in 2010, and she was unschooled in the North Hills and Zelienople area from 3rd grade until college.
An avid horsewoman, Laura finds her soul’s deepest peace and joy training wild mustangs, leisurely riding bareback, and treating horses and other animals with Asian meridian theory and techniques. Laura also loves to travel, write, and cosplay at Renaissance Fairs and sci-fi conventions. She would dearly love to learn falconry and Spanish, and she enjoys scotch and craft beer.
Laura has a cat named Ocee (for the small Atlanta suburb in which her grandfather was born), a dog named Serenity, and a horse named Montego.
